I am a fine art photographer with a passion for capturing the gorgeous details and moments that make your wedding images ones that will be cherished for generations. I graduated from the University of Delaware with majors in and English and photography. I have a business and teaching background along with my fine arts experience. In 1992 I started my own photography business specializing in hand colored black and white lifestyle portraits of families and children. I spent many years working in a darkroom, processing my own film and developing my own fiber based prints that I would then hand color. The results were a pastel, light, airy and ethereal look that I replicate in my wedding portraits today.
I shoot in a style that is artistic, fun and creative. I want to capture all of the beautiful moments and unique details of your wedding day and turn them into everlasting memories. I aspire to create portraiture that tells your unique love story. I have a very photojournalistic style to my photography. I love to capture peoples laughter, their personality, and most importantly, their love story! Storytelling through photography is my passion! There is something truly incredible about beautiful images that will last for generations. It is my goal as a photographer to create timeless images that will be treasured forever. My photos are candid, natural, romantic, editorial style wedding photos. My photography experience is one that is relaxed, romantic and usually includes a lot of laughter! I combine my background of fine art, photojournalism and traditional photography to create elegant and romantic photographs that are a natural blend of editorial and documentary photography. It is my goal to capture all of the emotions of your special day, authenticity and unobtrusively, and to provide clients with a collection of fine art imagery of their wedding day that will be cherished for generations to come.
I care greatly about the little details, the beautiful emotions, and all of the moments that make up the wedding day. I am a lover of natural light and I seek it out to create memorable portraits through my lens. I am the epitome of a people person and I use my bubbly personality to create an easy and fun experience! I want to make sure my clients are always happy and the experience is positive and relaxed. When I am not photographing, I can be found playing with my beautiful daughter, or one of my three barking fur children (all Australian Shepherds…yes, I need to get some sheep for them to herd.) 🙂 I love Godiva coffee (have you tried that stuff?!), chocolate anything, and all things cake! I love lots of laughter and fun! I only photograph a small number of weddings per year so I can give all of my couples lots of love and attention!
